What is a Stephen Minister?
A Stephen Minister is a confidential Christian friend to walk beside you through whatever you are going through in life.
Why Stephen Ministry?
I became interested in Stephen Ministry because I know that a Stephen Minister would have been such a blessing in my life as we faced the daily struggles of caring for our sweet Will.
Having someone that I could be completely honest with about my feelings and that was there just to listen to me would have been such a gift from God. Sure, I had friends and family that were extremely supportive but to have someone that was there for me once a week for about an hour to just listen would have been the answer to a prayer. A Stephen Minister is not someone to provide a “fix” but to listen and ask “Won’t you tell me what you have been through?”
